If you have read my blog before, you will notice that I changed the look of my blog. I figured that I was due for a change. So I changed the look as well as the title. Some of you will understand the significance of the title, but if you don't, I'll forgive you. Anyway, I changed the title because it was a little on the negative side, and I'm trying not to be as negative here in cyberspace as I usually am. So for the new year, I'm trying out a new look AND a new outlook.

Maybe my new year's resolution should be to keep up with my blog...

So...Happy New Year, everyone! Now that we're only a few days into 2011, I guess it's still OK to say that. I did absolutely nothing on New Year's Eve. My dad roasted a chicken with the new chicken roaster he got for Christmas. I did nothing of consequence. In fact, I can't even really remember what I did. Ha ha.

2010 was an up-and-down year for me. July was particularly difficult. But November was great. On balance, it wasn't a great year, but since I came out at the end still kicking and screaming, I guess it's something to celebrate.

Nothing big planned for 2011, either. I don't think I'll be able to do a real vacation until after May 2012. Yes, I'm already counting down to graduation. This year's posts will probably have a dissertation theme running through them...but, then again, maybe not. I guess we will just have to see what the year brings. Maybe it will be a year of miracles. :)

Just added a new blog to my blogroll. It's written by our school mascot, Duke. He is a beautiful English bulldog and just became a grandfather. It's a really cute blog and will make you feel happy when you see the picture of the puppies. Check it out! :)

I'm in the process of reworking my blog. I managed to do something weird when I changed the look, and I lost my blogroll again. This time I was smart enough to keep track of who was on my list to begin with, but it will still take some time to reconstruct. Anyway, if you have a blog and you'd like to be included in my blogroll, respond to this and let me know the site. :)

This is hilarious. Google has introduced something called Mail Goggles, which requires a person to perform some basic math problems before the email is allowed to be sent.

So . . . I changed my template. I didn't write the code; I'm not that talented. I got it from a website. Anyway, I managed to lose my blogroll while I was at it. I tried to recreate it, but I know I left some people out. So if you happen to notice who is missing, feel free to let me know. :)

I've been a bad blogger. It's not that I'm ignoring my blog per se. It's more that I'm not spending as much time online as I used to. Life is . . . well, complicated. Hope you all understand. :)

Sorry I haven't posted for a while. Things have been rough for me lately. I've been struggling with a depression that the universe seems to be supplying with things for it to feed on. I'll be posting some stuff soon.
