So, it's past midnight, and I'm up listening to commentators with British accents babble about William and Catherine. Frankly, I don't really care all that much about what they have to say; I'm just waiting for the wedding itself to start. I may fall asleep before that happens.

I'm not sure that I even care, but there's a part of me that does. When I was much younger, I was a minor royal-watcher. I was obsessed with Prince Andrew, especially. Back then, he was pretty hot. And I remember getting up at 3am for the wedding of Charles and Diana. One of my sisters woke up with me, too. So I guess part of my interest in the wedding is left over from that, even though I'm not so much of a royal-watcher anymore. It will be kind-of fun to see what the family looks like 30 years after Charles' and Diana's wedding.

The other thing I'm looking forward to is the ceremony itself. I love, love, love high church, especially in the Anglican tradition. I love Anglican hymns and prayers, and I love the liturgy as well. I don't get to experience them very often, so I'm looking forward to a great ceremony.

And, yeah, I'm interested in seeing what everyone is going to be wearing and who shows up, but not as much as the reporters seem to be.

But I'm a lot older than I was when I got up in the middle of the night to watch that other wedding. I still have to wait quite a while for the actually wedding, and I don't know if I'm going to make it that long. But I'll leave the TV on, and if I fall asleep, I fall asleep. Ha ha. If I manage to stay awake, I'll let you know what I think...or not. *yawn*
